Provide technical support for client’s OMS strategic product development. OMS, Outage Management System product is a C/C++/Java language written N-Tier Oracle database application system.

Most of client user interfaces are MFC based running on Windows platform. Selected clients are Java JDBC based Swing user interfaces.

Client-server communication uses TIBCO/Talarian Smart Socket and Java JMS communication system.

Server side has been built on Oracle 9i/10g database system which uses triggers, DB Procedures, Pro*C and OCI based C/C++ code.

Investigate customer and internally found problems. Reproduce them by setting up matching multiple components environment, design and implement solution for these problems. Propagate fixes into different release levels. Enhance data conversion/management DB scripts as needed. Help design and implementation of new features.
SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Lead many implementations of software features to provision, communicate with, and monitor legacy Tekelec and new Catapult MGTS protocol testers running SS7, GPRS, UMTS, and IP protocols. Prepared HLD and Detailed Design documents with X-Motif GUI prototypes. Designed, implemented and tested data conversion scripts written in Perl, awk, Unix Shell, Python scripting languages. All software were written in C/C++ and Java languages to be able to run both Sun Solaris and SUSE Linux platforms.
As a member of Platform Architecture team of Network Diagnostics Division of Tekelec, developed ORACLE Forms and WebServer based prototypes to demonstrates feasibility of new MGTS features using ORACLE database system. Documented interactions and data flow among subsystems. Developed UML Data Model of all permanently stored MGTS data. Studied closely and made proposal how to employ Web based XML Oracle technology for MGTS.

Participated in Rose data model development of network event surveillance application for both circuit switched and IP based networks. This Java based application was going to be a base for future event correlation and trouble ticketing system development. Developed prototype Java code by Borland’s JBuilder to explore JDBC connection with targeted ORACLE and DB2 database systems.
Prepared responses to RFPs, developed project estimates, traveled client’s site to win contract with sales team participation. Participated in development of a Java network programming based client-server telephone diagnostic application where the server ORACLE database system provided by third party partner company, Reltec Corporation.
As part of Telecom & Media ISU organization, had been appointed to team leader for development a trouble ticket application for an international telephone company. ORACLE 7.3.3 database was the heart of this Remedy Action Request System based trouble ticketing application.

Designed and implemented a TUXEDO/DCE based work flow where there was a need to translate XML syntax like messages from/to DCE IDL data structures. Developed and debugged the translation process on Microsoft Visual C++ development and performed final testing on a HP-UNIX environment. This was a very cost effective development process.
Designed and developed many work flow applications where Data Redundancy Manager (DRM) message switching application was used to send out asynchronous messages to “glue” together different applications (i.e. TIRKS, PICS, SWITCH and other Bellcore applications).
Led a team of programmers to port message-switching application from MVS to HP-UNIX platform. The function of Data Redundancy Manager (DRM) application was to keep subsystem databases in synch.
Participated in design and led implementation of a Catalog Item Database (CID) system, where identified performance bottlenecks and improved batch upload processes to run 15-20 times faster.
