Inefficiency and disparity in healthcare access is a complex problem that increasingly weighs on society. Management of moral hazard (consumers), demand inducement (providers) and adverse selection (payors) amidst cycles of continuing economic growth (investors) has proven difficult.
In an effort to address these longstanding issues, I have been working along the lines of science- and social entrepreneurship-based approaches. Access to biomarker and genomic information (personalized medicine) may have potential to resolve disparities and inefficiencies in healthcare when coupled with socially responsible, consumer-driven (health 2.0) business models. Specifically, my focus is on mental health and wellness.
Please visit my homepage to find out more about the role of biomarkers and social entrepreneurship in an ever-changing mental healthcare environment.
