Inefficiency and disparity in healthcare access is a complex problem that increasingly weighs on society. Management of moral hazard (consumers), demand inducement (providers) and adverse selection (payors) amidst cycles of continuing economic growth (investors) has proven difficult.
In an effort to address these longstanding issues, I have been working along the lines of science- and social entrepreneurship-based approaches. Access to biomarker and genomic information (personalized medicine) may have potential to resolve disparities and inefficiencies in healthcare when coupled with socially responsible, consumer-driven (health 2.0) business models.
Specifically, my focus is on mental health and wellness.

The IAA-MBA-JD supports an important and growing segment of the global MBA and legal community, namely those MBAs and JDs with advanced degrees - a PhD or MD. The association provides a new platform for these MBA- and JD-holders to network, conduct job searches and pursue professional development activities appropriate to their advanced academic and professional qualifications that are not addressed by existing networking groups. Holders of German degrees such as the Diplom-Kaufmann/Frau, -Betriebswirt, -Volkswirt & -Jurist are also eligible to join, as are those individuals who possess an EMBA or an MBA/JD. Career planning & placement officers and faculty at business and law schools and schools of science, engineering, medicine and economics are also invited to join. We also welcome executive recruiters.
The IAA-MBA-JD is active on Xing, with a growing global membership. A parallel LinkedIn group is in progress.
