Designed, programmed, and installed custom computer software and trained staff how to use the systems.
Taught seminars and classes on multiple computer operating systems, programming languages, and computer applications.
Programmed mainframes and microcomputers using mostly COBOL, FORTRAN, and Basic+. Programmed microcomputers using assembler, Basic, FORTRAN, COBOL, Pascal, C, C++, and other languages.
Notable clients included:
John C. Campbell Folk School, where I designed, programmed, and installed a database system for managing classes, instructors, and students. It was used for about 10 years.
Grove Enterprises, where I worked first as a consultant and later as their Systems Administrator. I was on the team that created the first ISP in far western NC: Grove.net, which later became WebWorkz.
