John Delia’s Summary

I have been an employee of A&E Television Networks for the past five years. During this time, I have taken an active part in the transformation of a company. What was once a primary focus on broadcast television has begun to evolve into a culture of digital media across multiple platforms. Last year, I was promoted to a management role within the Content Development & Production department. By taking an active part in developing and managing existing systems, we are able to further build the company brands through the targeted delivery of the company’s video assets. I now work on projects that range from offering expertise on HDTV technologies to creating new policies for streamlining the trafficking of content as the industry moves toward a completely tapeless medium.
While television stations turn into media companies and the delivery mediums for content shift into platforms that did not exist just a few years ago, I plan to further my career in the industry of entertainment and media. While my short term goals involve A&E/The History Channel and growing my position within the newly formed Digital Assets group, I plan on furthering my career in the area of internal corporate finance, marketing, and business management with the goal of entering the field of media consulting. As a current MBA candidate, I look forward to advancing my career within these specific areas while leveraging my existing knowledge of production.
