An avid Technologist with a love for finding the end-to-end solution, and a passion for getting the most out of my team members.
I have extensive experience building small-to-medium software development teams and processes covering the entire software development life-cycle, from new employee mentoring to setting up integrated project management and source code repository systems using open source tool-chains to deployment process mapping.
I come from a Computer Systems Engineering background having learned to work independently in my early freelance days. This strong technical independence has been re-enforced through my contributions to the open-source community over my development career.
I have since discovered a passion for management which started with consulting positions focusing solely on project management but have since developed further into people management.

July 2006 — December 2006 (6 months)
My main focus while at Rogen this second time was to re-invigorate the development team, enhance the CCMS and related systems (mentioned below) and extend them to accommodate functionality available in the a newly merged company’s systems.
(Public Company; 1001-5000 employees; EPIC; Computer Software industry)
October 2005 — July 2006 (10 months)
My main focus at Epicor was to manage implementation projects for Epicor’s clients while still maintaining a technical and hands on role. Epicor used a signature Project Management methodology based on PMI to manage its implementation projects. As a Senior Consultant at Epicor I was in direct contact with high stakes clients, often delivering projects on site and managing the entire implementation team.

November 2001 — September 2005 (3 years 11 months)
Initially brought across as a Systems Architect to build an in-house project accounting and client management system, I ended up working in a role more akin to Technical Lead than just a Systems Architect.
As with most in-house systems the development phase of the project did have to come to an end, which is the main reason I chose to move on.
