Responsible for all computing at the Atlantic Mutual Insurance Companies. Included the production VMS cluster for the policy quotation and policywriting systems. Also managed the test VMS cluster. Sr Systems Programmer for the IBM MVS mainframe (initially a 370/158, which we upgraded to a 3090). Implemented ACF2 security and VMS security. Implemented operational manuals for backup/recovery. Performed periodic performance analysis on the MVS and VMS systems. Helped test and implement distributed PCs for the policy quotation and policy writing systems.

Application Programmer and project lead for the Church Insurance group within the Atlantic Companies. Led the team which did a complete redesign of a quotation and policywriting system. Due to the redesign, the Church Insurance group doubled the polices written without any increase in staff. This was implemented on RSTS/E and later on OpenVMS systems using DIBOL and RMS files.
