Eirtight is a technology services provider which specialises in Business Process Improvement, Systems Integration and Financial Technology Systems. Clients include Dell, SGS, Ryanair, 123.ie, Trilogy International, Publicis and many other clients - large and small - around the world.

John also founded and managed ByamSys Ltd. with a view to commercialising research that he conducted into biometrics technology for schools. The result of this was that AttendCheck (formally TruancyGuard) was developed and went on to feature on the Beyond Tomorrow programme on the Discovery Channel, as well as on Sky News and numerous other TV shows, newspapers, technology magazines (online and offline) and other publications. ByamSys has AttendCheck clients all over the world, but mainly in Ireland, the UK and the Middle East. ByamSys is now part of the Eirtight Technology Group.

John also founded Adrenalin Internet Systems Ltd. in 1998. In 2000, Adrenalin was awarded the contract for the development of Ryanair.com, which has since grown to become one of the most successful ecommerce sites in the world. Adrenalin expanded East in 2001 and established a base in Malaysia. Adrenalin is now part of the Eirtight Technology Group.

John has also founded other successful businesses, including BuyIreland.com, property development businesses in Ireland and Hungary, and a dental implant manufacturing laboratory in Dublin.

John has worked extensively in the Middle East, including high-level government consultancy in Oman and Saudi Arabia, and as part of the USAID programme in Jordan.

John worked as a part time television presenter on TV3 in Ireland for 2 years from 2003 to 2005, presenting technology reviews on live and pre-recorded television. John now appears regularly on Newstalk 106FM as a resident technology expert.
