Cincinnati Area
I've been a reporter since 1996, mostly in Cincinnati. My work has appeared locally in The Cincinnati Enquirer, The Kentucky Enquirer, The Cincinnati Post, The Kentucky Post, CityBeat, The News Record and the Business Courier.
Currently I am working to launch a completely re-visoned iRhine Inc. and the new CinDaily.com as a sustainable news Web site for the Greater Cincinnati area. I also write a weekly opinion column for Cincinnati CityBeat.
Concurrently, I took a leave from non-opinion journalism to work in politics. I was Ohio Rep. Steve Driehaus's communications director as he made a bid to unseat 14-year incumbent Congressman Steve Chabot in the fall of 2008 in Ohio 1st Congressional district race. He won. I was very excited to be a part of the campaign and to learn more about politics from the politicians side.
Conjointly, I have now taken over ownership and management of my family's 28-year-old business, Ross Self Storage in Ross Township (Butler County), Ohio. I am looking forward to growing and expanding business at this relatively small storage business (with the cheapest rates in town, just ask).
Before writing for newspapers, I photographed for newspapers. Photography was, and remains, my first true passion, though I truly enjoy the writing side of my job.
I also worked as a regional vice president for Tax Centers of America and as a program coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati.
