I worked as the editor in chief of The Daily Journal of Commerce which has for more than a century been a key resource for the business and building leaders in the greater Portland, Oregon metro area. At the DJC I led the effort to convert from an old fashioned editorial system to a modern PC-based system and was instrumental in a companywide national effort to upgrade the classified system for about 17 newpapers. I was also seen as a leader in new media among my peers across the nation. I also led the team that upgrade our Web site as well as widening the focus of the business news coverage.
