I started early in political communications, working my way through high school in New Jersey and college in Washington, DC as a political consultant. I launched IMPACT Strategies in 1996 and after 7 years leading the integrated marketing agency, I went client-side in publishing and interactive marketing.
I have worked for clients in 27 states on close to 200 political campaigns and over 40 corporate engagements. I settled in St. Louis and launched a strategic communications consultancy J.O'Brien Communications, Inc.
I am currently the Director of Marketing for LashBack, LLC., "Global Email Compliance" - providers of email compliance and email reputation intelligence services to the email marketing industry.

This was my first agency which specialized in political media and was founded with two more senior partners who were true mentors. I learned what it meant to own equity in a corporation and be an entreprenuer. I cut my first 30 second TV commerical at the age of 18 for a local candidate who won 68% of the vote in a competitive mayoral campaign.
