Joan Vinall-Cox blends writing with an up-to-date awareness of (mostly free) web applications and an understanding of emerging possibilities and how to use them to communicate effectively. I consult on Social Media uses for business and education, presenting, training, writing and editing in this new environment. My background of over 30 years of teaching communications in post secondary classrooms, includes over 10 years experience using web applications in teaching, and a PhD focused on learning the new communication tools provided by the computer and web. Online and off, I show individuals and small groups how to use non-technical web-applications and social media, including online use of text, images, presentations, recorded sound, and webcam videos. I specialize in how to compose audience-oriented media.
