I have had a shell prompt in front of me nearly every day since 1987. I have worked on clusters with as many as 400 nodes and 70,000+ users. I have designed system architectures with high security, high availability, load balancing, and virtualization.
I am also a software engineer, having worked on large, fully-engineered projects in C on a broad variety of UNIX, Linux, and embedded systems. Most of these projects involved language software (compilers, interpreters, code analyzers, run-time environments) of some kind.
I have taken part in system architecture, project management, budgeting, and other high profile consulting in academic and business contexts. I understand Open Source, and I'd sincerely love to talk to you about it.
My specialties include language software, system administration in the large, as well as Free and Open Source.
