As a director, Justin started producing short content under the banner Tempered Zealot Productions to better understand several aspects of filmmaking processes, and to hone his directing abilities.

Justin has produced eight (8) short films to date. A Thousand Words: Bloodline, co-written and co-directed with Jerod Brennen, won Best Horror Short at The Indie Gathering (2007) and Best Music at Frightmares Film Festival (2007) as well as received several positive reviews both at high profile online review sites and in print, most notably in Ultra Violent magazine.

Justin is currently finishing an independent horror short, A Thousand Words: Revelation. The script was written by Jerod Brennen, production wrapped in late 2008 and post-production should wrap in late 2009.

Justin is continuing to develop feature-length and short content and is seeking partnerships with professional production companies interested in producing and distributing a feature horror trilogy.
