I have ten years of experience in mechanical design with particular specialization in sheet metal design and cost optimization. For the past five years I have been a contract designer, which has enabled me to work on a very diverse array of projects for an even more diverse clientele.
For the vast majority of these projects, I have been solely responsible for ensuring that my designs meet the cost targets and quality standards established by my clients. I have consistently met or exceeded these goals on designs ranging from simple plastic parts to assemblies involving thousands of components.
I have experience in every stage of the product design cycle, including conceptualization, industrial design, artistic rendering, mechanical design, drafting, cost estimating, tool design, and brochure design.
I have further expertise in Windows network administration, cost estimating automation and parametrization, Pro/ENGINEER use and customization, scripting and task automation tools, web design, and a wide variety of graphic design methods and tools.
I am also a weekend photog and graphic designer, currently specializing in wedding photography in the greater Chicagoland area.
