My legal practice focuses on intellectual property litigation (primarily patent and copyright) and general business litigation for technology companies. In particular, my practice emphasizes issues surrounding computer software and networks as well as mass and interpersonal communications in both new and traditional media.
Before I became a lawyer, I worked as a computer and networking consultant and graphic designer, and was one of the first professional developers of content for the World Wide Web. In 1994, I co-founded the nonprofit World Wide Web Artists’ Consortium.
I frequently write and speak for professional and academic audiences on intellectual property, legal ethics, defamation, and privacy, especially as those topics relate to the Internet and computers.
