JORGE M. ABRIL, ESQ. was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988, to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1989, and to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2008. He is a member of the Dade County and American Bar Associations, the Cuban American Bar Association, and the Latin Builders Association. Jorge graduated from California State University Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1984. In 1987, he was awarded a Juris Doctor Degree from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. While in law school, Jorge was a member of the Moot Court Board and Business Manager for the organization. He possesses over 30 years experience in the debt collection industry and has represented commercial and consumer creditors since 1988. Jorge was special counsel to the U.S. Government in collection of Federally guaranteed loans. He is a faculty member of the National Business Institute and Lorman Education Services and is a frequent lecturer on debt collection issues.
