Jamie Levy’s Summary

I taught classes in Computer Science at Queens College for four years followed by a semester of teaching at John Jay College. In addition to the core classes (programming, operating systems, discrete math) I also created and taught classes in computer forensics for the undergraduate majors at both colleges. Student projects consisted of hands-on "live" and "dead" investigations. Open source tools were used for all types of investigations. Students were also encouraged to write programs/scripts in order to help with analysis. The class developed for John Jay College is still active after my departure.

I was hired as an EnScript programmer for Guidance Software. Work consists of writing custom scripts for clients and consultants as well as research for future scripts. I also do forensic investigations and other consultant work in addition to my programming duties.

I believe in open source and knowledge sharing and try to help out with various open source projects in my (limited) spare time.
