John Harris’s Summary
In 1997, as a sole practitioner CPA, I wanted to grow my business. I knew I needed to find a niche market that was not being served at that time. Then, a local retailer came to me with a tax problem: he had not paid his taxes in several years. He owed $90,000. By properly using the IRS’ Offer in Compromise program, I was able to lower his tax liability to $42,000 and get an installment plan put in place for him. This idea served as the seed that has grown into my tax representation company.
Currently, I am hard at work with growing my company. Over the past 12 years, the company, as a whole, has seen a lot of growth and change. I am very excited as we begin yet another tax season. Our employees love the challenge that tax season brings us and are ready for the run to April 15.
For our business, however, people owe taxes year 'round. So after tax season, we still stay very busy advocating for clients who are experiencing the power of the IRS' collections abilities.
Generally, work keeps me very busy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, 60’s and beach music, fishing and spending time with my six dogs.

Tax Preparation -- for any taxpayer who wants to settle their back taxes with the government, they have to be currently filed. So we do around 30,000 to 40,000 tax returns each year.
