The explosion of the internet has created limitless choice for consumers, in terms of products, services and media. Over the past few years there has been a boom of non-traditional, non-corporate media. From blogs and audio podcasts, to internet TV shows, a vibrant netroots ecosystem has drawn the attention of an entire generation away from newspapers, broadcast/cable and radio.
With this seismic shift in attention has come an equal shift in ad revenue. Where there is disruption there is opportunity. How do marketers and advertisers connect with empowered, informed consumers in an era where corporate speak is dead?
