I am now proudly approaching four decades as a senior executive and consultant to technology based companies, most recently as leader of the VT KnowledgeWorks program at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.
I currently volunteer regionally as a Board Member of the NewVA Corridor Technology Council, and state-wide as president of the Board of the Virginia Business Incubation Association.
Goals - I detest goals. They include permission to fail. My COMMITMENT on the other hand is this:
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson -
To laugh often and love much:
To win the respect of intelligent people
And the affection of children;
To earn the approbation of honest critics
And endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give one's self;
To leave the world a little better,
Whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch,
Or redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm
And sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier
Because you have lived...
This is to have succeeded.

I brake for military bands and barbershop quartets. Mozart ain't bad, either. And Puccini, and Gershwin, and Paul Simon. Ken Wilber, Immanuel Velikovsky, and other interdisciplinary thinkers fascinate me. And I love forests.
