Jim DeLaHunt’s Summary

I am an expert consultant in multlingual websites. It's straightforward to do websites and web-based businesses in English or Chinese or Punjabi or any one language. But add a second or third language, and issues crop up, from business to interaction design to engineering. I help you understand the issues, ask the right questions, and take action based on your answers.

More generally, I help small businesses take products to global markets, overcoming business and technical challenges on the way. I also help larger firms move forward their back-burner international projects.

Many of my clients put me to work on sites using Drupal or Joomla (free software Content Management Systems). I've done custom module and template development, data porting using raw MySQL queries, bug fixing, configuration, and system administration. I blog about interesting technical issues I encounter, as a form of giving back to the Joomla and Drupal communities.

I bring technical experience in software engineering and management, a proven track record in working with international partners, foreign language ability, and skills in group process to bear on your business and engineering management needs. I am tenacious; I have seen difficult projects to completion.

I am based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and have permits to work throughout the USA and Canada.
