Lead the successful development of “Planet 51, the Videogame” on time and within budget of 15M USD, on five platforms: XBOX 360 (plus extra XBOX Live content), PC (Games for Windows), PS3, Wii, and NDS. Developed with Unreal Engine and internal tools, the game is based on the CGI movie by Ilion Animation Studios, to be released in Nov. '09 by Sony Pictures. http://www.planet51.com
Main duty was to maintain forecasts of the project's schedule and expenses to identify and avoid overruns, and report progress, budget, risks and issues to the Stakeholders. Facilitated that our highly talented cross-functional team of 63 designers, graphics artist, programmers, testers, writers and musicians worked as a well oiled “production machine”, and that the entire team knew the highest priorities and due dates in order to meet the deadlines.
Identified and defined the specifications, scope, prototypes' requirements, and supervised the creation, execution and maintenance of all schedules, milestones, deliverables and contracts of the project with extensive use of Agile based (SCRUM) and PMBOK (PMI) methodologies.
Liaised with legal and finance departments, outsourcing companies and the publisher SEGA, and contributed to marketing plans including PR, advertising and sales promotion. Represented the company in many different events, and was in charge of the R&D activities of the project.
