GlobaLearn was a pioneering Internet-based education company focused on providing American students with education and insight into the global community through world-wide expeditions they followed online.
I started as Director of Education and as we grew company from original 5 employees to 20 I took on more responsibilities. I managed a cross-functional team of sales representatives, website developers, writers, and explorers to implement company’s web-based, international education program. I also managed the department budget and established original curriculum framework supporting company’s web-based educational goals.
I designed and produced company’s first teacher’s guide (125-pages) and first CD ROM (in partnership with Pierian Spring, Inc) and presented at Smithsonian’s annual symposium on technology and education, attended by 500+ government, business, and education leaders.
