Sales, marketing and business development expertise in the sustainability realm
San Francisco Bay Area
I work with companies who want to leverage sustainability, either as it is already functioning in their business, or to understand how it could be, in order to grow their sales.
Because my ten plus years of experience in sales and marketing has been with start-up entrepreneurial type companies I focus on strategy plus implementation. Depending on what a company needs most immediately, the work I do with them may lean more towards sales or towards marketing or towards partnership and product development.
I work with only a small group of clients at any one time and focus on customizing what I do for them based on what will most quickly and efficiently allow them, or me, to take action on our strategy. So the relationship might be a contracted marketing plan, or commissioned target market work, or a broader, retainer-based networking and business development focus.
I am currently working with a green painting contractor, leadership development organization, and a personal growth retreat center.

GlobaLearn was a pioneering Internet-based education company focused on providing American students with education and insight into the global community through world-wide expeditions they followed online.
I started as Director of Education and as we grew company from original 5 employees to 20 I took on more responsibilities. I managed a cross-functional team of sales representatives, website developers, writers, and explorers to implement company’s web-based, international education program. I also managed the department budget and established original curriculum framework supporting company’s web-based educational goals.
