Jessica Ellis’s Summary
I am a Producer for CNN International responsible for creating/producing innovative segments. Right now working on something new that will be a part of a new program hopefully to launch end of Januray 2009 on CNN International.
I am also a freelance photographer, videographer - specializing in animal welfare/environmental stories. On my own time, I travel around the world with my Sony Z1U and Canon EOS 5D Mark II filming/documenting/sharing in order to raise awareness and make a difference.
Back at CNN, I recently left the Special Projects department and was brought into the newsroom to produce segments for live news shows based on the weekly half-hour program I created called "iReport For CNN".
"iReport For CNN" is the first interactive, international weekly half-hour tv news program; allowing our viewers to participate.
The program showcases citizen journalism. It's all about the videos, images and stories people submit to iReport.com - whether it be a breaking news story or a slice of life from their own towns or at a major event.

The concept developed quickly after thinking about how the world has changed due to modern technology – We've downsized, uploaded and became user-generated… and so has mainstream media.
