Marketing Maven for Vensoft Inc.
Phoenix, Arizona Area
My name is Jessica L. Cannon/Egli (Cannon by Birth, Egli by Adoption) and I'm from a small town in Illinois (>1000 people!). I grew up there until I was 18, and decided to move to the Wild Wild West back in 2006. I chose Phoenix for the weather (or lack thereof) as well as the job opportunities.
My goal is to enjoy the job I do, do it to the fullest extent, and help others reach their professional goals.
I volunteer for the city of Phoenix as well as Glendale AZ, helping with events such as the Glendoberfest, the opening of the Metro Light Rail, FBR open, Cystic Fibrosis Walk (08), and Light The Night Walk for Lymphoma (Oct. 17).

During the course of a year I worked with my father doing post frame construction.
I was responsible for ensuring the proper tools and building materials were within the crew trucks before going to a job site.
I worked on a crew of 5-10 people digging post holes, putting together building frames, applying sheet metal to the outside and inside of the building as well as the roof. At times I aided in insulting the building and pouring concrete.
These jobs were spread out between Northern and Southern Illinois during extreme heat, rain, and snow.
By far, this has been one of the most rewarding career choices I have made. Being able to be a part of creating a building and seeing it go from a clump of dirt to a structure is extremely invigorating.
