Jesper Andersen’s Summary

Public relations and communication specialist. I started my career in PR in 2001 as a freelancer, working mostly for smaller companies and non-profit organisations doing theatre and musical productions. In 2003 I joined GCI Mannov – Denmark’s largest PR consultancy – where I became a consultant upon completing my master’s degree at the start of 2006.

Since then I have worked with a wide variety of aspects of PR and communication including press relations, consumer good product PR, event planning and execution, corporate PR, campaign and project management, crisis and issues management, strategy development and public affairs.

During my time at GCI Mannov I have had the pleasure of working for some of the largest consumer brands and major corporations in Scandinavia as well as a few international clients.

My latest interest in the field of communication is the new dimension of social/digital media and networks – the complexity and possibilities they add to our way of communicating with the world at large, and also the social context in which they emerge, exist and expand.

I blog (in Danish) about social/digital media at Start snakken! (www.startsnakken.wordpress.com).
