I'm a multi-disciplinary web designer with a background in Arts and Culture, who is now working on a Master in Communication and Multimedia Design. My main interest is web design, in which I try to follow a user-centered approach with a strong focus on usability, accessibility and web standards. Furthermore, I'm very interested in the social and cultural implications of the Open Source movement and the development of the Web and related new media.

Linux From Scratch is a collaboratively written book that describes how to build your own Linux system, using nothing but the source packages. It's a volunteer effort led by a community of users, readers and contributors. I've been an active member on the support and development mailing lists (later, as official FAQ maintainer), and led the redesign of the website.
