I've spent my life inventing software products with great user experiences, and building the teams to develop them. Now I'm the creator of TiddlyWiki, a very popular open source personal organiser that's grown to be the platform for a whole new class of web applications. I lead the community around TiddlyWiki, and am dedicated to building a great product for users all over the world.

Osmosoft is the NanoCo vehicle I use for my consultancy work. Much of it these days relates to TiddlyWiki, but I do some engagements that are more generally about user experience innovation.

September 1982 — January 2004 (21 years 5 months)
I've worked in technology since I was the precocious writer of several successful technical computer books in the 1982/3. My background is as a programmer, later thinking of myself more as a software designer and manager as I started to lead teams to build the software products I conceived.
Over the last few years I've worked as Head of E-Commerce at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, as they then were, a biggish European investment bank, and as Chief Technology Officer at a couple of VC-funded internet start-ups.
