Jeremy Weiland’s Summary

I have experience and interest in all levels of application development from paper to tesing and maintenance. My professional experience began in college with a small startup doing Windows programming to design and implement intuitive GUIs for a patented security application as well as serial interface programming for custom and COTS hardware. I also worked in the defense industry performing large scale systems analysis and code maintenance for one of the Navy's largest combat systems. This includes requirements gathering, analysis and UML documentation of systems, and intensive maintenance on assembly-level code. Over the past few years I've gone in a more open source direction with small software consultancies doing web programming, business analysis, documentation, testing, and systems configuration.

I will continue to pursue experiences in all aspects of software engineering to become fluent in a complete approach to the business. The end goal is my own software firm that can provide top-to-bottom solutions for small to medium sized businesses. It wouldn't hurt to use my language skills someday, as I'm fluent in German. I have a lot of interest in organizational behavior theory and would like to apply certain insights to business in the future, and if I have to start my own business over the next ten years or so to do that then so be it.
