Interviewed police officers, victims, and witnesses to alleged misdemeanor and felony offenses. Determined what laws in the New York State Penal Code, if any, had been violated. Wrote complaints detailing the offenses to be charged and ensured that the facts supplied fulfilled every element of the offense. Acted as the deponent in complaints when I was the only one to have direct contact with all the parties involved. Prepared court packets for assistant district attorneys including copies of the complaint, orders of protection or full orders of protection if needed, contact information of all the relevant parties, and arrest information. Ensured that all chargeable offenses were sent to the proper bureau or zone, i.e. sex crimes, and gangs.
