3d Artist at Playnet
Dallas/Fort Worth Area
I graduated from The International Academy of Design and Technology in March 2008: Bachelor of Fine Arts, Computer Animation. As a student there I was actively involved with the Official Siggraph Student Chapter, serving as Vice Chair. The classes covered experience in modeling, rigging, weighting and animating characters. I also practiced drawing human form, expression, perspective and other techniques relevant to animation.
I was hired at PlayNet, Inc as a 3D artist after a short internship.I have only been in the video games industry a short time but it has proven to be challenging and fast paced. Which is something I really do enjoy. My previous experience in the IT industry has helped me adapt quickly to new technology work within deadlines and help me be a great creative problem solver.
Several years ago I had the awesome opportunity to work as a texture artist on Threewave Capture the Flag for Quake3Arena (a user created game modification) and that started my love for all things game art related. It was great to see the guys I worked with on the game modification end up forming Threewave Software and I'm grateful to have been a small part of that history.
3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, Mudbox, UE3, Unity Engine (proprietary) . I can easily adapt and learn new software and techniques.
