(Partnership; Information Technology and Services industry)
November 2007 — Present (1 year 9 months)
As a business partner my main responsibility is to offer clients a wide range of technical insight and services, including Unix/Linux security assessments, custom Web Applications and Business Process Analysis. These services provide clients technical solutions to fit the needs of their business.
Employed Agile development methods to collaborate remotely with fellow developers in architecting and building complex web applications and services.
Created an EDI service to monitor FTP file submissions and translate user data into standard ASCX12 304 Shipping Instructions which are then transmitted to user-specified third parties.
Designed and developed a web application to track and audit fleets of vehicles. The application employed a B2B connection to a third-party service to pull GPS data into a MySQL database, as well as a B2B connection to a MSSQL server to synchronize trip data with the dispatch system. Google Maps was used to display GPS routes.
Designed a custom Document Management web application using PHP, MySQL and AJAX. The application organized uploaded documents by status and category and provided an interface for uploading or scanning and saving documents through a TWAIN device.
Created custom web application using PHP, MySQL for a large
transportation services company. The application allowed managers to find and print driver schedules based on fixed rotations.

Created the program “jhalfs” which employs Bash, XSL and GNU Make to automate the compiling of an entire Linux system. http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/alfs/browser/jhalfs/trunk
Using PHP and Subversion, co-created a custom Wiki for use in
developing an online, collaborative book. The wiki featured very
straightforward and simple editing syntax, encrypted logins, extended page revision history, page locking and XHTML/CSS standards compliance.
