Jeremy Head’s Summary
I'm an award-winning travel writer, photographer and broadcaster based in Brighton. I've been writing freelance travel features for seven years and write regularly for The Daily Mail and independent travel magazine Wanderlust. My travel writing has also appeared in The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, The Mail and industry newspaper Travel Weekly. I've just written my first guidebook - for the USA's biggest travel publisher Frommer's.
I recently presented undercover reports for ITV's Holidays Undercover - prime time TV on a Tuesday evening. I've just appeared as a guidebook 'expert' on Channel 5's the Hotel Inspector (due for transmission early autumn 2008)
I also chair/host travel publishing seminars and debates, recently hosting a Bookseller debate: Have Guidebook Will Travel: The Future of Travel Publishing
I was formerly Travel Editor for Independent Magazines, writing weekly travel features and news for their weekly titles: Girl About Town, Ms London, 9-5, Midweek, London and More and Living Abroad Magazine (LAM).
I'm available to chair debates/seminars to speak about travel writing and also as a copywriter. I started life as a marketing manager for American Express and a Financial Services marketing consultant, so I combine creative writing skills with a solid grounding in the basics of marketing.
