My position is newly-created and truly a dream job, serving as a "missionary" for the Rosen College, visiting with alumni and hospitality industry contacts to let them know what's going on with UCF. The Rosen College of Hospitality Management is NOT a culinary school but a tough management school whose graduates are worldwide leaders in the travel, tourism, lodging, timeshare, golf and restaurant industries. It was spun off from the College of Business in 2004 thanks to a generous $18.2 million gift from hotelier Harris Rosen. His gift was matched by the State of Florida and the money used to build the most state-of-the-art hospitality college in the world. My goal is to help the College continue to raise the quality level of its education by securing gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and associations to support strategic College priorities.

On a volunteer basis, led the fundraising efforts of a 501(c)(3) charity including building a plan, helping create a database, writing grant proposals and attending events. Jennifer's greatest accomplishment was getting awarded a grant of over $50,000 from the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation to fund the organization's first employee. This is historical as the foundation has never before made a gift of more than 100% of a charity's annual revenue.
