New Media PhD Student
Leicester, United Kingdom
My goals are to complete my PhD, part time, within the next 3-4 years. At the same time, I am keen to develop a portfolio of experience related to my research within practical environments (events & fund-raising, education, health, art and more)
I've recently completed two semesters of teaching within the Department of Media and Communications. I was given the chance to prepare and guide taught seminar classes, assess presentations and group work and offer support for research projects. I really enjoyed teaching and saw it as a great learning experience in terms of preparing for life beyond the PhD.
I am currently working within the Marketing and Communications Division at the University of Leicester, supporting the Development and Alumni Team. My work straddles between alumni communications and event management - in particular using elements of my PhD research to improve and amplify existing online communication channels for university graduates.
