As the Marketing Services Manager of a print and marketing business solutions provider, I have built the marketing department from the ground-up. I am responsible for maintaining the firm’s own marketing efforts as well as offering marketing services to its clients. These services are provided by both in-house staff as well as outside vendors, both of which I supervise closely, and are in all forms of traditional and new media marketing as well as creative services such as graphic design, copy writing, email marketing, SEO, fundraising campaigns, and business strategy.

Before moving to San Diego to continue my career in social marketing, I volunteered as a Programs Coordinator with Senhoa, an anti-trafficking social enterprise in Siem Reap Cambodia, where I designed, coordinated, and implemented programs based on social justice and community development. I was highly trusted to build capacity and develop strong staff morale while also maintaining positive external relations with clients and partners to ensure efficient services and cooperation.

Prior to this time in Cambodia, I received my B.A. in International Human Rights, Social Justice, and Digital Media and worked with several organizations in an administrative role learning the ins and outs of both public and private sector marketing campaigns.

More specifically, I focused on humanitarian intervention as a result of human rights violations in a global context and the ways which digital media can effectively promote and protect human rights by accurately depicting abuses. My ultimate objective was to understand how to create exposure for humanitarian aid via an educational, artistic, and visual narrative of human stories.
