Citizen Advocacy sets up one-to-one matches between volunteer advocates and people with disabilities that can have profound effects on both.
Citizen Advocacy is one of only a few Ottawa community organizations supporting people with a wide range of disabilities, including physical limitations, developmental delays, mental illness, and disabilities related to aging.

Co-organized Canada's first National Infectious Diseases Day which was held October 18, 2007. A coalition of infectious diseases organizations and industry partners made an impact on Parliament Hill meeting with 60 MPs and Senators! The day garnered national media coverage on CBC Newsworld, the Globe and Mail, and the National Post. Additionally, the campaign's website www.nidd.ca received over 600 hits from about 250 unique visitors over 3 days!
