A 15 year veteran with more than half a billion dollars in residential sales, I bring to each client relationship a level of maturity, expertise and patience that is rare in our industry. I have “seen it all” and understand the fine details that make the difference between merely doing a job and offering exceptional, results-oriented service. I know what it takes to help buyers realize their dream of home ownership and help sellers get their homes sold and get themselves on their way to their next destination, wherever that may be. Perhaps that explains why my gross sales and average sale price were up in 2008, in stark contrast to the market, where the number of transactions and average sales price fell.
I run my business as a business. I am supported by a small team of highly trained professionals who share my vision and complement my abilities. With their help, I am better able to leverage my time and focus on my core strengths - marketing strategy and negotiation. My team includes experts in client care, staging, marketing, technology and sales.
From first-time home buyers to CEOs to some of the city's finest builders, our client base is as diverse as the properties we represent. We offer expertise in the condo, coop, loft, townhouse, single-family home, and new construction markets. Although we have sold homes as far north as Evanston and as far west as Oak Park, we specialize in the city's Near North Side including the Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, River North, Streeterville, Bucktown & Roscoe Village.

We make a significant investment in the properties we sell. Before putting a home on the market, we work with our clients to optimize the presentation of their home, identify our target market, develop a strategic marketing plan, assess market value, and prepare all marketing materials. Once listed, we offer a comprehensive mix of high quality print and web-based advertising venues, as well as showing feedback via email. Not only does our superior marketing set our team apart – it sets our clients’ homes apart – and that leads to more sales.
I have won many of the industry’s top awards including NRT’s National Leadership Award for ranking #10 in the U.S. and #1 in Chicago. I was recognized as #77 in the country by the Wall Street Journal for sales closed in 2008, and I ranked among Chicago’s top 10 residential agents every year for over a decade. But frankly, the awards mean much less to me than the relationships I have established with the clients (who are now friends) along the way.
Real estate is “in my blood.” My family tradition started in the 1880s with my great-great-grandfather and Gold Coast developer Nathaniel Fairbank. My step-grandfather, Louis C. Sudler Sr., founded Sudler & Company in 1927. Appropriately, my office is located in the John Hancock Center which was developed by my step-grandfather in the 1960s.
