    The Digital Edge launched in October 2008 taking to market new market research products focusing on gaining richer consumer insights via the use of interactive web 2.0 inspired platforms and methodologies.

    With a background in the digital space my role was to integrate web 2.0 philosophy into the market research practice and develop relevant and innovative products for todays web 2.0 marketing environment.

    I developed the methodology, implemented and managed the bespoke Online Communities platform which helps gain rich consumer insights through a facebook style online environment - an Australian first.

    During my role I managed Online Research Communities for: Kimberly Clark, Love Communication, Kelloggs, KFC, CBA, Weight Watchers and others.

    Online Communities can be set up for npd, ad testing, comms testing, creative concepts and makes use of multimedia functionality where participants can upload photos and videos and enable 'organic' discussion to form.

    I also initiated an Online Reputation Audit product- a combination of web crawl technology with social media /pr strategy primarily used by pr agencies.

    Bringing together my 15 years media experience and University qualifications (Bach of Applied Science -Information - UTS) my role is to research and assess the latest in new media/online techniques.

    During my role I developed the Online Engagement Cycle which became the basis for the agencies social media strategy work.

    I was hired to set up a Research Division to assist with the Senate Inquiry into Concentration of Media Ownership.

    After the inquiry the research dept worked on variety of mgt projects including introduction of Pay TV into Australia and online copyright issues.

    In addition. I introduced a variety of innovative online databases technologies and produced internationally circulated publications on Pay TV Insights working closely with UK office.
