Dariusz Jemielniak’s Summary
I have been succesfully running an Internet start-up ("Druid Multimedia Ltd.") since 1999. We created ling.pl (the most popular Polish online dictionary, roughly 15 million monthly exposures), angielski.edu.pl (the biggest Polish ESL website, up to 2 million monthly exposures), angool.com (a popular youth online dictionary of English, roughly 6 million monthly exposures), and other services.
Apart from the business side, I am also a scholar, currently an associate professor and the director of international programs at Kozminski University. 2004-2005 I spent as a Fulbright scholar at Cornell University. My Ph.D. thesis was on software engineers' professional culture. 2007-2008 I spent as a visiting scholar at Harvard University and at University of California Berkeley.
