Jeff Leitner is founder and dean of Insight Labs, a foundation leveraging the best and brightest to solve intractable challenges facing international NGOs, domestic non-profits, government agencies and businesses working for the common good. Launched in 2010, Insight Labs has enlisted hundreds of senior executives, entrepreneurs, academics and artists in unconventional philanthropic projects to develop new models, programs and practices. Insight Labs is a partner with or member of the leading innovation and public interest organizations, including TED and the Clinton Global Initiative.
To spark more generative, unconventional thinking, Leitner speaks and writes on emerging models of philanthropy and civic engagement. He is a member of governing or advisory boards for several corporate, civic and philanthropic organizations, including 10,000 Blankets and UX for Good – both of which he co-founded. Prior to Insight Labs, Leitner had an eclectic career in public affairs, journalism and social work. He holds degrees from the University of Texas and The Ohio State University.
