Experience Engineer/QA Lead
Growing & Building Communities, social media, strategic planning and vision with startups is something I've loved doing for years now. There's something that just feels great about watching something grow and blossom. Jumping over hurdles and finding solutions to problems along the way is all part of the game and that's why it's what I love to do.
Currently I work at Johnson & Wales University on the Digital Technologies team managing our QA effort and user experience across multiple channels..
I'm also working closely with the Johnson & Wales Center for Entrepreneurship and it's Executive Director John Robitaille. Day to day activities include developing our mentor network, mentoring students on the development of their ventures and spearheading the marketing and creative effort for all of our events.
I love communities and social media and building businesses. If you're in need of a passionate person to join your team let's talk!
In my role at the university I assist with the UI/UX strategy of a variety of different projects as well as lead the QA effort for our applications as well as web teams.
I also assist with website and email compliance concerns.
I work closely with John Robitaille at the eCenter to assist students and alums with their ventures, organize and setup events such as Sharkfest and Fearless our 2 marquee events during the year.
I also help lead the creative and marketing strategies at the eCenter as well assist in the coordination of our mentor network.
At Bitefire I lead and assist with the implementation of strategies across the company. Day to day activities include, driving company direction, task management, sales/marketing strategies & execution.
Created social media, branding and messaging strategies for local business and enterprise level corporations. Other consulting services included marketing, bizdev, ui/ux and product development.
I assist Chuck Batchelor with the development of the Senior Team and Senior Prep Team.
I'm responsible for overseeing the Company’s and our Clients Social Media Strategy across all brands and platforms.
Leisure Creative was dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals both online and offline. Whether that was web/logo design, web/app development, strategy and brand building or community and social media management we made sure your brand excelled in all markets.
My day to day activities include working on Photrade's UI, UX & Branding.
I work with our community at Me.dium. Evangelism, Social Networking, etc. I also do the occasional design job that gets tossed my way.
SW Boston took place over a weekend in October. A colleague and I were in charge of all of the blogging and community outreach that took place that weekend. From photos to video to blogging we did it all and made Startup Weekend Boston one the most transparent weekends to date.
I was the very first Technology Road Runner for Johnson & Wales as a student. This job lasted one trimester of school and required me to travel to Northeast High Schools and speak aboutu Johnson & Wales and also the world of Graphic & Web Design/Development. Many of the high schools still e-mail me to go speak to students on their career days.
I was in charge of creating a stock photo library for us to use in the graphics department at AAA Southern New England. I was in charge of creating the covers for each category and destination as well as the templating. From colours to fonts to photos I hand picked them all. At the end of 6months we had well over a couple thousand photos and numerous colour themes and templates to choose from.
Each year Johnson & Wales School of Technology honors alums that not only give back to the University but also achieve levels of success in their fields of work.
Had the privilege to coach and mentor participants at Providence Startup Weekend.
Giving advice and guidance to participants during this 54 hour power weekend and watching companies grow from nothing to something proved a great way for me to give back to the startup community in Providence.
I assist John Robitaille at the Entrepreneur Center at Johnson & Wales University. In this role I work with student and alumni entrepreneurs in order to assist them in achieving significant forward progress.
I also work with John in coordinating our alumni mentors and the students they work with.
