    * Provide engineering design and embedded real-time product engineering. Use ICE's, compilers, scopes, logic analyzers, development tools, schematic entry tools, PCB design tools and more to develop new products and diagnose existing products for customers. Run day to day operations, set budgets and select vendors. Write project and SBIR proposals.

    * GPS Telematics wireless development (Linux, WinCE, Embedded, product based and consulting) Verification testing on GM OnStar. Design, spec and implement embedded FLASH based automotive LINUX computer used for vehicle transportation data collection using OBD2. Developed robotic navigation system incorporating odometry, GPS, ultrasonic sonar and ring gyro, under DARPA Tactical Mobile Robots (TMR) Program.

    * Remote Keyless Entry (RF-RKE) and RF modem development. Worked with test lab to achieve FCC part 15 certification

Research wireless animal containment system using 2.4ghz Chipcon/TI CC2431 Zigbee location engine and develop initial prototype.

    Design Microchip PIC18F series controller boards, incorporating analog and digital design. Design and code in 'C' 900 MHz FSK short range radio system. Work with test lab to achieve successful FCC certification.

    Design next generation product based on 802.11b radio stack and TCP/IP protocol, both hardware and software design. Boot loader design.

    Work with customers in conjunction with product marketing, to learn their requirements and deliver a product meeting such requirements.

    Implement ARM9/Linux based implementation of multimedia sign controller. Named in patent applications pending for various proprietary technologies developed. Use GNU C, CCS, C-18, PCAD and Protel.

    Provided all aspects of design and support for an in-vehicle telematics GPS based multi-media system. Support $330,000 initial contract. This was a PC/104 based embedded windows computer that was used in transit buses to log vehicle data, control multi-media passenger signage, control audio announcements and other vehicle functions. Operation was keyed off of GPS and situational data. Designed 2.5 GHz Alfred slot antenna. Interfaced J1708 to vehicle data computer. Designed ruggedized vehicle power supply/audio amplifier using buck regulators and PIC16C621 microprocessor with J1708 interface. Wrote serial drivers to decode Trimble GPS TSIP protocol and derive PVT from coordinate based XYZ positions. Wrote passenger sign interface for VULTON 'DigiDot' transit sign using IBM assembly and Borland Delphi. Wrote video interface using Microsoft Video for Windows. Wrote program for use with fluxgate compass to determine vehicle heading.

    Provide corporate wide engineering support at national video duplicator. Design circuits and PCB's using ORCAD. Implemented computer based plant floor monitoring and data acquisition systems, both hardware and software using Microsoft Professional Basic 7.1. This system saved over $400,000 per year off of operating costs. Document and preparation of training material, both written and video, as well as equipment manuals. Repair video circuits to the component level. Improved Rank-Cintel film transfer system. Assisted in setup preventative maintenance program for all video tape equipment. Designed, developed and implemented videocassette identification system (video fingerprint). Designed, developed, programmed and implemented corporate-wide computer based video automation system using mouse-based controls. Assisted in Sony Sprinter improvements including development of endless loop retrofit for Sony HSP-5000. Negotiate pricing with vendors.
