BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
Jeff is a leader with a proven track record in Strategic Management, Consulting, Product Marketing and Program Management. Starting from his technical background, Jeff has built a career by creating solutions that apply technology to enable business success.
Jeff is a well-respected, experienced people manager who has focused on people development and managing cultural change. He has directly managed teams spread across the world and managed large, matrixed teams (up to 1700+). He is a natural coach and mentor and takes much of his professional satisfaction from people management
Currently, Jeff is a Chief Operating Officer at Internet Broadcasting (IB) in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Jeff was Senior Vice President of Product Development at Vive Computing. Founded in 2007 by Jim Rutt, Vive’s goal was to fundamentally alter the way consumers and small businesses purchased, used and got support for computers, software and peripherals. Jeff was responsible for quality assurance, product marketing, and program management.
At AOL, Jeff led the Strategic Alignment team and was responsible for the communication and adoption of the US strategies in Europe. Simultaneously, Jeff also managed the pan-European Product Marketing team and was accountable for product and business strategies spanning the AOL Europe market.
Before moving to London, Jeff was the Business Lead for more than ten releases of AOL including AOL 4.0 (update) AOL 5.0, AOL 6.0, AOL 7.0, AOL 8.0, AOL 8.0 for Broadband, AOL 8.0 for International, AOL 9.0, AOL 9.0 for International, AOL for Mac OS X. AOL 9.0 was the most successful release in AOL’s history; it was adopted by 10,000,000 consumers in just 130 days.
Jeff also managed teams that ran AOL.com (building the advertising and partner content business by 50% to $150 million) and developed and popularized almost every AOL consumer service (e-mail, Search, instant messaging, AIM, Parental Controls, Pictures, Chat, etc.).
