  • Client/Server Application Development for Leading Insurance Company

    • November 1996 to April 1997

Project Goal: Rescue a struggling IT project. Another firm had spent 2 unsuccessful years attempting to develop a complex retirement and pension tracking application for one of the largest employers in the US. The project had experienced significant schedule and cost overruns, was suffering from staff turnover and poor technology selection. The Accenture team was engaged to attempt to complete the project.
Role: As an Application Developer, my role was to re-design and re-develop core sections of the application using the following technologies: C, SQL, MS Visual Basic, Sybase RDBMS. The project demanded long hours and a relentless focus on hitting deadlines.
Results: Our team successfully brought the project under control and eventually successfully launched the re-architected and completed application to the client in April 1997.
