April 1990 — September 1994 (4 years 6 months)
I served over 4 years on active duty. During that time I assisted in the planning for and movement of troops and gear to places such as Saudia Arabia, Somalia, the Phillipines, Kenya, Australia, Singapore, and various locations within the United States. When we were not making plans to leave the country, I managed the troop quarters, which can be likened to a simple motel. I handled additional duties that included hazardous materials certification, information systems management, alternate duty flight crew in the CH-46 helicopters, and nuclear, biological, and chemical agent representative for my squadron. It was a good experience in my life!
EE , Electrical Engineering , 1994 — 1997
Attended McNeese after my 4 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, and followed the degree path for electrical engineering. While studying engineering, I worked part-time at a local gym and found that I enjoy working with people far more than working on computers. After recognizing the increasing amount of interest others seemed to have in hiring me to help them with their fitness goals, I decided to make a career of my passion and moved to the center of the fitness world, Southern California.
0431 , Logistics & Embarkation , 1990 — 1994
I joined the United States Marine Corps in April 1990. I studied and conducted logistics & embarkation operations from 1990 with Desert Storm to 1994 with Operation Continue Hope in Somalia just after the Black Hawk Down helicopter crash actually happened. While serving I received several merritorious awards for my efforts with groups from small 4-man teams to over 3,000 service men and women. I know what it means to accept a mission and follow through on the completion of said mission.
