Learning new programming languages and technical skills, testing new software, trading Open Source programs with friends. Non-tech activities: Hiking, dog training, going to coffee shops with my wife, playing in intense Scrabble matches, homeowner's duties.

Awarded the Jenny Sander's Memorial Fund College Scholarship (1999)
Disney Dreamer's and Doer's Award (1994) -- the award is presented to acknowledge outstanding students who are making a difference. Jedidiah received the award for "not succumbing to peer pressure" and was nominated by a teacher's essay. Met guest speaker Dennis Byrd, New York Jets Defensive Lineman. My picture was featured in the Dixie County Advocate.

Selected as a "gumshoe" for the 1994 live mall game of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" In preparation for the event, students from 43 North Central Florida schools completed in a geography contest and my school's team won. I met the PBS show's host, Greg Lee, at this event and received an autographed poster from Mr. Lee. (Pretty cool, huh?)
