Jason Cowsill’s Summary

I create. I'm happiest when designing, building and seeing things created that didn't previously exist. Over the years I've worked in many aspects of print, web, marketing, and interaction design, and provide a wide variety of services centered around collaborative problem solving, simple solutions, and cost-effective results. I'm equally happy working independently on multiple fronts, or collaborating as part of a specialized team to tackle large projects.

Though primary a designer, I also have a strong background in development. All too often companies encounter a disconnect between design and development teams, neither quite understanding what the other does. Utilizing my knowledge of both fields I bridge that gap. I have often been placed on development teams specifically to act as liaison, interpreting what the design team is looking for in terms developers understand, while offering the design team new possibilities based on emerging technologies that may not have been considered.

I have a working knowledge of most major programming languages but specialize in front-end coding (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX). I believe beautiful, functional, and accessible design can and should coexist with efficient, standards-compliant code and have the skills to provide both.
