I worked for an Oil and Gas attorney in Dallas for over 9 months creating chains of title and writing drilling opinions for companies in TX, CO, and ND. I also interned at a non-profit organization doing 80% family law cases writing motions, prepping for custody trials, and meeting with clients. Currently, I am doing research for a local criminal defense attorney on various criminal issues, ranging from admissibility of hospital records in DWI cases to hearsay rules applying to a juvenile certification hearing. This summer I will be interning in the Felony Division of the Dallas County District Attorney's office, and I hope to be hired there as an ADA upon graduation from Baylor Law in May 2010. From there, I want to work my way up and get my 3 years of felony experience and then move over to the U.S. Attorney's office.
