Graphic Design Major, Illustration Minor 1986 — 1991
While I did straddle two majors during my term at SVA, I eventually found that Graphic Design was my true direction. I had the pleasure, and tension of being taught by Paula Scher during my final Portfolio year. She will never realize the effect that she had on my design thought process, and my eventual maturation as a Graphic Artist.
Graphic Design Major, Illustration Minor 1989 — 1990
I took a semester off to study abroad and see what influence european design could have on me. While the design courses were very hands on and different in comparison to US design perspectives in the late 80's, the city of Florence proved to be the ultimate teacher as you could not walk two feet without stumbling upon major works of art and design.
